AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC TYPE 23 DIAL WALL TELEPHONE phone Description: I received this phone as a present from my late aunt and know very little about it. It is actually one of two phone that I currently have listed on ebay. My research leads me to believe that this is an Automatic Electric Type 21 with some Western Electric guts. I did plug it into the wall, and made a call to my cell phone, which worked, though the earpiece seemed a bit low in volume. But what is one to expect with a phone that is this old? Speaking of age, your guess is probably better than mine as the actual age of this phone. Similar phones appear to be from the 1930's.
