This is an original and intact photo page from Howard Hughes photo album of his epic record breaking Around the World Flight in 1938. This photo is not a newspaper photo copy, but from his private photographer. The first Photo is Howard walking from the aircraft after landing in NY, the second is Howard with his crew and Mayor La Guardia, the third is with Howard and Grover Whalen (Head of the 1939 NY Worlds Fair) who was instrumental in the flight in promotion for the Worlds Fair. The plane was named Worlds Fair 1939. These are original 1938 photos that have not been reproduced at some later date. They are from the estate of Al Lodwick who was Hughes Flight Operations Manager of that flight. Al Lodwick was entrusted with the album by Hughes and remained with Al Lodwick for whatever the reason. The photos were glued on in the phot album and many have fallen off over time. This one page is intact and the single photos are 4" x 5" and in excellent condition with no rips, tears or dogears.
