This badge confirms to Ebay regulations on the listing of Police Badges, with this badge being from a long obsolete railroad company. is a very rare 1920's to very early 1930's era Baltimore & Ohio Southwestern Lieutenant Railroad Police Badge. The B&O South Western was formed in 1889 when it took over the Cincinnati Washington & Baltimore Railway in 1889 and operations of the Ohio & Mississippi Railway in 1893, which the O&M ran between St. Louis and Cincinnati. In 1900 the B&O S.W. became part of the B&O, which the B&O continued to call and refer to it's St. Louis Line as the B&OSW well into the 20th Century, as can be seen with this rare gold LT. Police Badge from the late 1920's to 1930's. The badge is marked on the front "Lieutenant - Police - B.&O.S.W.R.R. - #2" and is hallmarked on the back "C.G. Braxmar Co. NY". The C.G. Braxmar Co. was a police, fire, railroad, steamship, etc. badge company that was located at 242 West 55th Street in New York City. This is the first Braxmar badge I've ever had. This is truly a rarity in police badges. The badge has some light surface scratching to the front and back (from being slightly worn) but overall is in excellent condition. The badge is also marked 1/10 KT - GF - Front", which should mean "Gold Flake" to the front of the badge (which is why it shines so much). This is not a reproduction read more
