I am delighted to offer this RARE great Baccarat style crystal or cut glass OVAL shaped jewel casket, caddy, or box. This is the first of three I will be listing tonight, that I think would be a FABUILOUS way to either BEGIN your collection, or, ofcourse, great filler pieces, as well. All three boxes shown in the group photo, are reserved for less than $500.00 for ALL three, so obviously, you can buy all three for less than one Baccarat box. Great looking boxes at a great price! All boxes are in very good condition. This auction is for the OVAL box. The box measures approximately 41/8 inch wide 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/2 inch deep. The glass is cut in a raised diamond point pattern. The box is hinged in gilt brass or bronze ormolu mounts. The glass is brilliant and reflective! T are no chips, cracks or repairs noted. . The base panel has a multi point star.with minimal scratching noted as you would expect from age. The piano type hinge is good and tight and works well. Some slight bend noted to the hinge, which causes it to close ever so slightly askew.Nice patina to the metal mounts.
