VincentBach Mount Vernon Nr. 3 Trumpet Mouthpiece – Chris Botti Unaltered Mt. Vernon number 3. Never been bored out – from the 1950’s. Rim is excellent, shank is round. Sorry, we couldn’t find the silver polish for the pictures, but will polish it before sending it. Many famous trumpeters play the 3 rim: Arturo Sandoval and Lew Soloff the 3C, Dave Douglas a 3B, even Phil Smith, NY Philharmonic, uses a 3C for commercial work…and of course, Chris Botti plays the 3 on his large bore pre-war Handcraft Committee and a 3C on his M-bore Committee Model. The tone is big and dark. I have played a high horn part of a J. S. Bach Cantata on my Yamaha D trumpet with this mouthpiece. Went well, sounded good. I just normally play a different size. This Model has been scanned and cloned by countless makers, but the old Bachs have a special magic to the tone sound. Buy a real one! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
