These adjustable Black Leather shoulder straps are intended for use with our surplus Swiss "Salt & Pepper" Backpacks, or yours...These straps have a little more patina than usual, so here is your opportunity to save a few dollars on a great product. The first three pictures are "stock photos" to help explain how the straps fit your pack, you get the straps in the remaining six picturesFind us on Etsy for more quality military surplus, up-cycled bicycle accessories, and strange re-purposed products! - Search for "New Leaf Fabrications"We purchased a "lot" of Swiss Salt & Pepper backpacks with the understanding that each backpack came with only one strap. When the bags arrived, it was obvious that the provided straps were not correct, or appropriate to the bags. After lots of research I ran across a suggestion to build replacement straps with these military surplus suspenders. This is a great solution because these straps attach to the load bearing anchor loop built into the back of the bags and also attach to the leather loops near the top of the bag to keep you load upright. Similar in form an function to the original Swiss straps, these have the added advantage of having sewn on pads, which are a little gentler on the shoulders.
