This piece has been handmade at the Maleras factory, which was founded in 1890 and is situated in Southern Sweden . According to my research, the natural scenery around the glassworks village Maleras in Smaland has played with Mats Jonasson's imagination ever since, as a child, be began to draw and paint. For many years this world-famous designer has lived only some hundred meters from the glassworks of which he is the owner as well as the leader. The Maleras produce full lead crystal art only and the clarity and quality of their crystal is recognized all over the world.
