Welcome to the auction!! Before bidding, I advise you to review the description and analyze the pictures. Any questions you have, I will gladly answer based on the information we have regarding the piece. The painting is beautifully done, oil on canvas, bright colors, and clearly show off the main subject of the artist, "The balinese women". It is signed at the lower left " Han Snel" . I acquired some time ago from a private collector. There is no paperwork on the piece, so please consider it as "a manner of or after". People who are interested, I advise doing some research. Han Snel (1925-1998, dutch born) was trained as a graphic artist. Sent to Indonesia in 1946 as a soldier to fight against the nacionalists, he defected to their side. Snel lived in Bali since 1950 and was an Indonesian citizen (after marrying an Indonesian). His graphic paintings featured stylized women in rich colors, as well as geomatric abstraction. (Description from Necka Art Museum) Once again, before you bid, please feel free to ask any questions. Nice addition to any collection, starting with a low reserve price!!!!!! The piece measures 16x24 inches, and has no frame. The original high bidder has not paid, so the painting is being re-listed with no reserve price.
