This auction is for a wonderful 1980 baseball banquet program that has been signed by a host of famous baseball players and personalities. The banquet was called the Tops In Sports Banquet, which for many years was the premier baseball banquet in the country, w almost every great baseball player from 1950 to the 80's attended it over the many years we had it in Baltimore. The program was for the banquet in 1980. The program itself has some light wear and toning. The previous owner attended the banquet and passed the program down the head table. The program was signed 22 times on the front cover. It is not signed inside the book. The front cover was signed by: Hall of Famer Al Kaline, long time manager of the Orioles and Hall of Famer Earl Weaver, Hall of Fame announcer Chuck Thompson, Pitcher Mike Flanagan, Orioles Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson, power hitter Dave Kingman, A young Marylander at the time who was breaking in with the White Sox- Harold Baines, the Dean of Baltimore sportscasters-Vince Bagli, long time coach of the Orioles-Jim Frey, local great and early 1960's major leaguer-Barry Shetrone, long time coach of the Orioles and a major league manager-George Bamberger, former Orioles owner Edward Bennett Williams(also a very famous attorney), Orioles General Manager Hank Peters, Wild Bill Hagy-who used to do the O's cheer read more
