This is a terrific Disney Courvoisier cel that has been in the family for years, never framed, just lovingly stored away. It would make a tremendous Holiday Gift for a Disney or Bambi enthusiast! Showing a baby Bambi, the mother and two birds on the celluloid, the background is done by Courvoisier, which includes the shadowing as seen in the scan. As it's not framed, the film is rolled a bit out of it's original matte, at the bottom.On the back is written a pink 71 and still attached is the original sticker that came from the gallery. "This sticker can be removed and used on the exterior of the new back." Below the perforation, it reads "This is an original painting on celluloid, actually used in the Walt Disney Production of FANTASIA." Fantasia has been lined out and "BAMBI" is typed in the margin. T is also typewriting at the bottom that reads "617 Howard St.," just above the Courvoisier Galleries information.The scans pretty much tell the story--the original matte material is a bit discolored and you can clearly see the condition of the reverse.
