Barnes – Uniforms & History of the Scottish Soldiers The uniforms & history of the Scottish regiments: Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, 1625 to the present day by Major R. Money Barnes. Published by Seeley Service & Company, London, First published in 1956 this is the 1960 reprint. 350 pages, Hardback with dust jacket. Vol II of The Imperial Services Library. It is bound in red cloth with stamped gold lettering against a black background on the spine. There are dozens of full page black & white and colour plates drawn by the author. Incredibly well researched and comprehensive this series are considered one of the standard works for all uniform collectors and enthusiasts. In generally very good condition. Binding still perfect. Internally the text is very good and clean though pages starting to fade with age. Dust cover with some fading and scuffing to spine and edges.
