The side panels already have T-molding slot cut for you.YouTube link at the bottom of this listing shows an example of how to assemble this kit.The maximum size you're monitor can be and fit in this cabinet is 20 -1/8 inches wide. That is the total width of your monitor to include the bezel and measured horizontally (not diagonally). I usually use a 22 inch monitor, but that's being measured diagonally and only measuring the viewing area of the screen.
