BASSOON REEDS - MEDIUM STRENGTH - HANDMADE ** Great value student reeds at £5.95 each ** (including plastic protective case) A little background...... You may have noticed from my other listings that I specialise in selling ex display and exlease instruments, and amongst other instruments, I sell a lot of student clarinets. I always include some reeds to start people off, but with even basic Rico reeds selling at around £15 for a box of 10 I started looking round for cheaper alternatives. I tried various Chinese brands, and found them to be perfectly acceptable, especially for less experienced players. They play easily straight out of the box, and as far as I can tell, sound pretty much the same as a Rico or Rico Royal. So, for the last few months I've been including them with my clarinets, importing them direct from the wholesaler in China. The feedback was really good, so I then started selling them online (at £5.95 for a box of 10). They've been really popular, so after testing out their sax reeds, I started selling them too, again with really positive feedback from customers. Next, I decided to try their oboe and bassoon reeds.
