From 1973-1984:This is a lot of 6 reading condition Batman comics. Each is complete, but small tears, creases and staining will be common. None of these defects interferes with the readability of the comics. Some great artists are represented here, including Walt Simonson, Bernie Wrightson, Jim Aparo, Dick Giordano, and Gene Colan. In this lot you get:Detective Comics #437 Jim Aparo cover & Aparo art on the Batman story. This is the first Aparo Batman story outside of the Brave & Bold comic. This issue is also the first appearance of the new Manhunter, with art by a young Walter Simonson, and the first appearance of Christine St. Clair. Archie Goodwin assumes the editorship of Detective Comics with this issue, and wrote both the Batman and Manhunter stories. Batman #265 Bernie Wrightson inks this story, "Batman's Greatest Failure," written by Michael Fleisher and penciled by Rich Buckler. The cover is by Buckler & Giordano. Batman #267 Dick Giordano drew this cover, interior art is by Ernie Chua and Dick Giordano, story by David V. Reed. Batman #300 "The Last Batman Story" is written by David V.
