O ffered with a Low Reserve! Featured is a lovely Flow Blue Rowland & Marsellus Co. (R&M Co.) 10" rolled edge plate - Souvenir of The Great Lakes, Lake Erie. This plate was imported from Staffordshire, England in the early 1900's for sale in the US and is one in the R&M Co. rolled edge souvenir series featuring premier U.S. historical sites, U.S. cities, locations and people. The plate back reads as follows: Battle of Lake Erie; Com. Perry Leaving The Lawrence, Sept. 10, 1818, "WE HAVE MET THE ENEMY AND THEY ARE OURS." STAFFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND. R & M Co. Some age crazing to the back of the plate and three tiny edge chips on the back side only. Two hairline cracks visible on the back side only, it looks like they may have been caused by a plate hanger. The front side is perfect - no chips, cracks, fleabites, hairlines or repairs.
