B&L 5x7 tessar 1c in compound shutter #3 nice condition with plenty of apparent usage but no abuse. aperture is smooth and clean. shutter blades show cosmetic wear. shutter action is snappy and smooth. T and B work fine. shutter speed chart included from a recent machine test. shutter has a set screw in the upper right to adjust speeds, so there are 2 columns of true speeds. see pic. there are 2 positions for speed adjustment (driver slot horizontal and slot vertical) speeds are close considering the age. Glass is fine. no scratches and no issues. very clear and the rear element has a 'natural bloom' that makes it look slightly like a coated lens. All threads turn smooth and no dents or dings. Includes 2 non standard caps that do the job and a slide on lenshade that has a slot for square filters. quite handy. nice springy cable release included.. great user and at f4.5 it's pretty sharp with a smooth falloff to out of focus and decent contrast. a yellow-orange filter would really make this lens pop in B&W. 180mm-ish focal length
