A wooden field specimen magnifier / microscope This is a small glass table 2 x 3" with mirror mounted at 45degree angle beneath to illuminate mounted in wooden block 9.5" x 3" x 2.25" There is an adjustable column mounted lens which is threaded into lens mount for fine focus Magnification about 4-5x Lens mount is stamped Bausch & Lomb Rochester N.Y. There is a small metal plaque on rear of wood body stating "sold by Andrew H Baird Edinburgh" There is a 3/4" diameter chamber within wooden body for storing ? forceps covered with rotating metal plate
