Up for your consideration is an exceptionally rare named tunic and cap to an American who served in the RCAF as an instructor with the #10EFTS-Elementary Flight Training School at Mount Hope,Ontario. The tunic and hat were made by Tip Top Tailors and the tunic is named and dated to J W CHURCH SEPT 3 41.The tunic and hat are of extremely high quality, with the color of the material being close to that of the RAAF dark navy blue. The tunic is quite heavy, has no moth holes and does not smell. It is of the same style and cut as an RCAF tunic with RCAF buttons and with the addition of a pair of gorgeous U.S.A.shoulder titles. The RCAF wing is slightly padded and on the cap you have a stunning example of the #10 EFTS cap badge! In Warren Carroll's book t is a similar badge on page 135 that he lists as unknown, and in Bill Hampson's book on page 60 it shows an instructor wearing the identical badge identified as from #10 EFTS Mount Hope. Also included with his tunic and hat are his shirt and tie.A great centre piece for any BCATP/EFTS collection or those interested in the Americans serving in the RCAF and being named it is fully researchable.A unique piece of WW2 aviation history!
