The item should be in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration. The disc, cover and any other contents (lyric sheet, booklet etc..) should be in perfect condition Near Mint (NM-) A perfect record. The item should be in brand new condition with no marks or deteriation. The disc, cover and any other contents (lyric sheet, booklet etc.) should be in perfect condition. Excellent (EX) A nearly perfect record. The record should show no obvious signs of wear and only minor signs of being played. A 45 RPM or EP sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling. An LP jacket should have no creases, folds, seam splits or other noticeable similar defects. No cut-out holes, either and the same should be true of any other inserts, for example posters, lyric sleeves etc..
