is a real relic of the past. A pair of small snowshoes in the bear paw shape that were manufactured by GOODEARL BROS. LTD. I discovered that this company "GOODEARL-RISBOROUGH" was a Buckinghamshire furniture company {1850-2001}. When WWII broke out in 1939, the company was requisitioned by the Ministry of Aircraft Production. These snowshoes are described in my research as a "Wartime Product". The snowshoes are approx. 18" in length and 9 1/2" in width. They have a canvas base with rope bindings and metal rings and buckles. The wood is a light honey color but I really don't know the type of wood--possibly ash. They appear intact and the wood is in good condition--I don't see any cracks etc. They are soiled and scuffed especially the canvas and straps. The canvas of one snowshoe is more soiled than the other. The one has imprinted "GOODEARL BROS LTD." The other has an "M" or "W" with an arrow and what appears to be "FP 43". Also t is printing on the straps but I can't make out what it actually says. The shipping cost to the US will be $12.00 or LESS depending on location.
