Beatles Related - The Best of George Harrison RIAA Gold Album Award. Presented to Tony Kirshen by the RIAA to commemorate the sale of 500,000 copies of Harrison's 1976 compilation LP, which featured songs written by Harrison for the Beatles as well as his later solo career. The album was compiled without Harrison's input, and criticized by him for the inclusion of his Beatles-era songs, which he felt diminished the significance of his solo work. The award features a mounted gold-tone disc and RIAA-issued dedication, framed to an overall size of 17" x 21" and in Very Fine to Excellent condition with mild wear to the frame.
