March 21, 1964 issue of The Saturday Evening Post magazine featuring The Beatles on the cover. "The Beatles: Music's Gold Bugs" cover article is five pages long and illustrated with B&W photographs. There are additional Beatles articles: "Building The Beatle Image", and "Beatalic Graphospasms: Original Fiction and Poetry by the Braniest Beatle of Them All" (John Lennon), which includes his drawings. The magazine also includes "Have You Ever Been a Boo Hoo?" by James Phelan, which is an interview with L. Ron Hubbard and investigates his new religion, Scientology. The magazine is in good condition; it does not appear that any pages are missing, and the Beatles articles are complete. There are some light bends and corner bends from normal wear, as well as some small light spots on the back and a few on the inside pages. The pages are in good shape, with no tears that I have found, and small corner bends. The cover has light general wear/edgewear/small corner bends; the picture is great. Also included are two newspaper clippings from the August 20, 1964 issue of the San Francisco Chronicle: the second page of a story about the Beatles' show with The Exciters at the Cow Palace (the first page, the cover story, is missing), and an advertisement for Official Beatle Pom-Poms being sold at the Emporium department store.
