MY MOM'S FAVORITE CHARACTER MUSIC BOX.... BEATRIX POTTER'S TOM KITTEN Absolutely delightful TALE OF TOM KITTEN music box. Wind it up, it turns and plays "The Happy Wanderer". At a little over 7" tall, it is just the right size to delight youngsters, and oldsters too. It is in gorgeous condition, always in the China Cabinet, never allowed to be touched. It was a little sluggish getting going when I first unpacked it, but after two or three rounds of winding it up, Tom was off and running. And running, and running....it plays for quite a while with 6 or 7 cranks of the bottom. It turns and plays slowly and smoothly, and there is no way to turn it off! It's not a fast, zippy tune, but you will find yourself humming along !This kitty has been well taken care of, the colors are as bright as new, he would make the purr-fect Holiday gift for a child or grandchild, or for any lover of kitties, Beatrix Potter, or Schmid. I cannot keep everything of my Mom's, so I do have to let some of these pieces go . Tom Kitten needs a new home!
