You are bidding on a complete set of 23 books in The Original Peter Rabbit Books series, all of which were written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter and published by Frederick Warne. All of the books are glossy hardcovers without dust jackets. Also included in the lot are four pop-up books with touchable fuzzy bellies on the animals on their front covers, and a little picture book about Beatrix Potter. These extra books are also hardcovers without dust jackets. The condition of the books ranges from G+ (good plus) to NF (near fine), with my rating scale progressing as follows: G . . G+ . . VG- . . VG . . VG+ . . NF- . . NF A book that is in G condition will have more wear than average, but it will not have any major flaws that would make it unreadable or horribly unsightly. The cover may be a little soiled and/or tanned from age and will have moderate or more edge wear. The corners may have been bumped a bit. The spine may be a little faded, lightly slanted and/or a little cocked. There may be a name, inscription or bookstore stamp inside somewhere. The pages will be tight, but they may be a little less crisp than when new, may show some age tanning, and may have the odd small smudge, stain and corner fold. Two or three pages may have a very small edge tear. One book has some light creasing on the lower portion of the back cover, but this creasing is not evident on the inside of the cover and the boards appear to be undamaged. The last pop-up book has a few small tears on the pop-ups, and these have been repaired neatly with invisible type tape.A book that is in NF condition will be almost like new. The cover may have minor edge wear and the pages may show a little age tanning. There may be an erased price in the upper corner of the front free endpaper.Following is a list of the titles included in this lot, along with a rating of their overall condition.
