This Beauchene, or "exploded" skull was manufactured by the Denoyer-Geppert Science Company in the late 1960's and is a genuine human skull, not a synthetic reproduction. It is mounted on a hardwood base and measures 15" tall by 8" by 12". A 1" by 2" brass plate mounted on the base reads Denoyer-Geppert Co./Models-Charts-Skeletons-Slides/Chicago/Made In USA. This skull was obviously put to hard use in the classroom: it is missing a maxilla as well as sphenoid bones and the brass ID plate is chipped. An additional smaller tag, possibly identifying the school it came from, has been removed. There has been some repair to the brass support structure inside. All of this is clearly visible in the photos. Still, it has a natural patina that reflects its past and will make a unique addition to any medical, science, science fiction/horror, goth or steampunk collection. I will ship using UPS Ground and accept returns within 14 days of receipt of item.
