This 16mm movie camera comes from Hollywood, California (via Las Vegas and the HBO series Taxicab Confessions!!!). I purchased this Beaulieu R16 C-Mount Turret 16mm movie camera (with R16 electric hand grip with strap, 1 amp handgrip battery, battery charger and eye piece) on eBay in late 1999 for $710.00. I had it overhauled by DuArt in 2000 (their invoice includes overhaul, set frameline, pitch, groundglass, calibrated speeds, re-aligned motor, cleaned viewfinder system, straightened and tightened front turret, cleaned and lubed, ran with film) - they recelled the onboard battery and replaced the lightmeter battery all for $481.18. I also purchased a Pelican case model 1500 from DuArt for $116.91 and a number of lens for $98. I spent approximately $1,400 for all of this. BUT I never filmed anything. Very sad for me and this movie camera. FYI, I will include copies of the two DuArt invoices (see pics) and a printout of my original eBay purchase (see pics).This could, however, be very happy for you! I am putting this on eBay in the hope that someone with more talent and energy than me can own it and USE it!!!!!!! Is that you?
