Rare complete set of the Beauties of the Red Mansion collector plate series by Imperial Jingdezhen porcelain. 12 total plates in new condition, no chips, cracks or scratches in original boxes and shipping cartons . Never displayed and has been stored in a smoke-free home since they were originally purchased. Certificates of authenticity are included for all plates except the first issued plate. Inspired by China's greatest romantic novel "A Dream of Red Mansions", this unusual and historical collection can bring beauty, tranquility and elegance to your decor - whether it's design is oriental, traditional or contemporary. The artwork for each piece is distinctly different yet cohesive for harmony as a set. Designed by master artisan Zhao Hulmin, an acknowledged expert with a high reputation for famous Ching-Te Chen porcelain. Master Zhao has created work for each plate that is faithful to classical Chinese traditions, w precision of line and delicacy of execution are of prime importance. This collection was released by the Bradford Exchange during the period 1987 - 1989. This collection includes: #1 Pao-Chai; #2 Yuan-Chun; #3 Hsi-Feng; #4 Hsi-Chun; #5 Miao-Yu; #6 Ying--Chun; #7 Tai-Yu; #8 Li-Wan; #9 Ko-Ching; #10 Hsiang-Yun; #11 Tan-Chun; and #12 Chiao-Chieh. Each plate is 8.5 inches in diameter.
