Beautiful 1907 Art Neauvo Bronze or Brass Wind Up American Clock by The Western Clock MFG. Co., La Salle, Ill. U.S.A. This is a fine old clock recently found at an estate sale in Missouri. The clock is either bronze or brass. It is heavy for its small size and has a beautiful patina showing through the original gold outer layer. The clock face and bezel are in beautiful condition as you can see in the photographs. The clock does need to be cleaned. It winds up fine then runs and stops. Sometimes it will run for an hour and sometimes a few minutes. However since I do not know how to clean clocks and we do not have a clock repairer in town I will have to leave it up to someone more advanced in this area. On the back of the clock case you can see that the movement case is bent. Some caveman decided to take it upon himself to try to open it up. No it was not me that time. When I bout this clock the movement was upside down. I spent a little time to get it straight and was able to get the movement out without forcing it. So it should be no problem taking it out to work on the movement which I believe only needs a good cleaning. The clock measures 7 1/4 inches in height from top to base.
