This is a really nice large vintage cast iron kettle, that is made to fit into a wood stove, but can also sit on top the the stove. The kettle is 8 inches high and 11 inches across, so it is quite large which makes it more unusual, and thus more desirable! It has a wonderful shape and is in very good vintage condition. The handle has a small chip and t is some rust inside that should clean up fine - I will try to do it before I send it. T are two very small chips on the end of the spout, but these in now way compromise the functioning or beauty of the piece. The lid is especially nice because it is designed so when you tilt the handle back, it pushes a lever like piece that pushes the top open. On the top of the pot is imprinted PAT'D. This is a wonderful piece of vintage cast iron. It would be a great addition to any home, old or new! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!!!!!
