BEAUTIFUL ART DECO HAND HAMMERED STERLING OVAL BOWL DESCRIPTION This week on eBay we are offering the contents of a Portland, Maine estate. The deceased were members of America's greatest generation. Many of these items were acquired during and right after WWII when the gentleman (and his wife) was a provencial governor in a provence in Germany (of Allied Occupied Germany). During the course of their appointment, they acquired many wonderful pieces of art, porcelain and ceramics that we are offering on eBay this week. These items have never been offered on eBay before and are fresh to the market. We believe some of the ceramics and porcelain (ie Rosenthal and Hummels) are extremely rare. Also, offered are a number of oil paintings, watercolors and fine art prints that they also acquired. 's a great opportunity to purchase some fresh to the market merchandise. Bid with confidence. Beautiful piece European sterling or silverplated silver. Oval hand hammered silver bowl with deep scalloped sides and edge. In very good condition - needs a good polishing. Bears hallmarks on bottom of bowl - please see photo. Measures 12 1/2" long x 8 7/8" wide x 2 3/4" tall. This bowl was purchased around the time the silver from Hanau was purchased.
