This Holbein Camera Lucidia has the beautiful black case still inside the paper box it was packed in at the original purchase. It is listed as used but I truly don't believe it was ever used over once. It is PERFECT. All 12 prisims are intact in mint condition, two have never had the paper wrappers removed. This is truly a beautiful treasure. T is not a scratch or blemish on either the instrument, prisims or case. Enclosed with the device is a hand typed set of instructions that are marked "Translation from Portuguese 1/17/77. The instrument is enclosed in red felt and satin lined black case comprising of a set of 12 lenses, table clamp and fixing screws, telescoping system with 3 drawtubes and rack-and-pinion for fine adjustment and focusing. A triangular crystal prism with a single coated surface mounted on an adjustable lens holder. Case dimension: 30 X 6.5 cm (12 X 2 ½ inches). The instrument is signed by 'Holbein' as 'Patent no. 580738 Made in Japan'. Unpacked for shipment it weights 1 pound 7 ounces. Actual shipping cost will be provided upon end of auction and will include a $3.00 handling fee for special packaging. I will pay insurance.
