This piece is part of a private collection of bisquit or cracker jars & Victorian Art Glass. Please check my other listings. This cream-colored biscuit jar has a raised design in the porcelain, with floral transferware patterns around the exterior accompanied by gold scrolls & beading. The flowers are in pastel shades of pink, blue, lavender, & yellow with green & brown leaves. The jar has a silver-plated rim, lid, and handle with gold wash. The lid has a minor hairline crack. The rim is stamped "EPNS", which means electroplated, "MADE IN ENGLAND", & the initials "G.F.B., which I would think relates to the manufacturer. It measures 10.25" tall with handle up, 6" to top of rim, & 6.25" diameter. This piece is in great condition with no chips or cracks. T is overall crazing, but hardly noticeable. AS WITH ALL ANTIQUES, THIS ITEM IS SOLD IN AN "AS IS" OR "AS FOUND" CONDITION. ITEMS ARE DESCRIBED AS ACCURATELY AS POSSIBLE, AND OUR PHOTOGRAPHS ACT AS FURTHER DESCRIPTION. RETURNS ACCEPTED ONLY IF ITEM IS NOT AS DESCRIBED OR PHOTOGRAPHED.
