This is a gorgeous Fiesta China Poblana skirt. It is made of a type of cotton flannel in vibrant shades of red and green. It is adorned with loads of shiny sequins and features a large Mexican eagle on the front. The overall design is dazzling and t are very few missing sequins. I am guessing this skirt to be anyw from 60-70 years old, maybe older, but I'm not an expert. From what I have read, these types of skirts were very popular in the early to mid 1900's. This one was purchased from an estate and the woman said it belonged to her mother and that it did come from Mexico a long time ago. It measures 39" from the waist to the hem and the waist is about 30" unstretched so it would fit up to a large size. It is in excellent condition without any holes or tears. The only flaw I could find is a very small discoloration spot on the hem. You really have to look for it since it is so insignificant, but I thought I would mention it. I am also including the shirt that came with it. However, it does have a fair amount of staining to the fabric, especially in the underarm area. I don't know if the stains can be removed professionally, I would leave that up to the buyer.
