A friend of mine collected this tiny fossil insect in Western Colorado during the 1980's. He had it in his collection for many years. It is about 48 million years old from the Green River Formation of Western Colorado near Douglas Pass. This beautiful insect with beautiful wings measures 1/4 inch on matrix measuring 1 x 7/8 inches.
