This is a beautiful Gold and Mother of Pearl Antique Victorian Era Fountain Pen. It features a wonderful gold head and pen tip and a hand carved MOP handle. T is a lovely engraved design on the gold. It measures 5-1/8" long. The MOP handle measures 3-1/4" and the gold engraved section and tip measures 2". The tip reads: William S.Hicks New York No.2. This beautiful pen comes in its original antique velvet case. A wonderful old case with a satin lined lid. The case shows some signs of wear but is a lovely old momento. A nice find for the collector of antique writing instruments. T has been an upsurge of popularity of all things relating to handwritten correspondence since it is slowly becoming an obsolete form of communication. The romance of pen and ink is so appealing! This is a very lovely momento of that era.
