BEAUTIFUL SHIP IN A BOTTLE - FRIGATE U.S.S. CONSTITUTION. This beautiful Ship In A Bottle displays an intricately detailed example of the American Frigate USS Constitution. The Bottle rests in a rich dark wood base with a brass title plate - "USS Constitution". T is a red wax seal on the bottle. The Constitution earned the nick-name "Old Ironsides" because cannon balls would bounce off of her 2-foot thick, solid oak hull. She is still a commissioned ship in the United States and is now berthed in Boston Harbor. She is the symbol of this nation's early struggle for freedom. It measures approximately 10 1/2" long and approximately 6 1/2" high, including the wood base. It is in like-new condition. This is such a beautiful, detailed item.
