Zenith's Most Popular Pocket Transistor Radio The Royal 50H in Bright Red from 1961 This one always draws comments and is one of my favorites. It is a very collectable transistor radio from the famous Zenith Royal line. Zenith made sure that the quality was put in before the name went on. And this is one quality set. The condition of this set is outstanding. The surface still shines (even on the bottom w the first signs of wear usually occur). The dial is clean with just one little scratch (if you look real close). T is a bright gold center to the dial, gold Zenith crest, and shiny silver metal trim. Even the screw that holds the back on still shines. This is a great looking set that will continue to draw comments in your collection, just as it has in mine. As good as it looks, it sounds even better. Just turn the switch and it comes to life with full rich sound that you would think impossible from a set this small. This is really w Zenith separated themselves from the other makers of shirt pocket sized radios. Runs on 2 common and inexpensive AA batteries. The battery box is as clean as you would expect and the volume control works fine without static. This radio is perfect for your collection or for your listening pleasure. The Zenith Royal 50H.
