Beautiful Navajo Rug I purchased this small rug about 13 years ago from a Navajo woman on my way into Tuba City. According to the weaver, she wove this wool rug on a traditional loom. Unfortunately, I don't remember her name. For a period of about 5 years, I made annual trips to the southwest to collect Navajo and Hopi artwork. The reason I purchased the particular rug was the gorgeous colors. The main background color is a purple-red color with turquoise detail. The other colors are grey, black, white and green. The design has three Yei figures holding a pitchfork and cornstalks in between them. The sides are bordered in grey and at each corner t is fringe made of four yarn threads. The rug is in perfect condition with no holes or tears. I only displayed the rug for about a year and then packed it away. I am selling it only because I can't find a place to display it safey and it needs a new home with someone who will enjoy it. The dimensions on the rug is 18 inches by 15.5 inches so it is meant to be a wall hanging or used on a table. High bidder to pay $7.50 S/H. All sales, as in any auction, are final. If this is not acceptable to you, please don't bid. I accept money orders, and Paypal (preferred). I ship promptly and payment must be received within 7 days of auction end.
