For auction is an outstanding example of a Becker prince shaped pipe. Its overall length is almost 7 in. and the bowl is a bit over 1 1/2 in. high. This beautifully rusticated pipe weighs in at 1 3/4 oz. The rustication is beautiful and the smooth rim shows a nice cross grain. The cumberland stem has an, unknown to me, exotic wood ring. The small case b is embossed in the stem and BECKER is in script on the shank. That stem has a few barely visible micro tooth marks. There is also a bit of darkening on the rear inside of the rim. This is a stunning pipe that may or may not come from the era when Paolo's father was an influence. It has been gently cleaned and reamed and is ready to smoke. Please take a close look at the photo's and if you have any questions by all means ask me.
