Great old German salt glazed stoneware 1 liter pewter lidded beer stein from Löwenbräukeller in Munich. The lid features a griffen-like creature in raised detail and around the edge reads Lowenbraukeller Munchen. The mug is about 8 5/8 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. It is incised in dark-blue painted written letters "Löwenbräukeller München No 75241". Also 1L is incised in front on the rim. There are also 2 faint hairline cracks about 2 1/2 inches long down from the front lip. They appear to be due to cooling during the manufacturing process. Paypal only!
