A very stylish portable c. 1934 with walnut veneer panelling and bakelite tuning panel. (See http://www./service/Beethoven%20SG4.pdf for similar cct - not associated with this sale). This is the earlier version with the rounded bakelite panel. Unfortunately the case sides have been heavily infested with woodworm; this has been treated, but may cause a problem importing to certain countries. The case corners are reinforced; one corner has decayed but the reinforcing bracket is contained internally. The bottom rotator is present and works. This is of course a TRF set. No attempt has been made to check the ciruitry or loudspeaker. The audio output valve (Pentode KT2 or equivalent) is missing, and the main wood panel is slightly warped and missing its fixings. The outer case could be re-covered or completely rebuilt. It will be shipped with poly granules surrounding the circuitry to protect the valves.
