This auction is for a gorgeous vintage Universal Raingage made by Belfort Instrument Company of Baltimore, Maryland. Rain gauge features riveted steel, copper and brass construction and retains all of its original equipment (bucket, funnel, clockwork recording mechanism, etc). Clockwork mechanism still works! Rain gauge stands just under 3 feet tall and 14 inches in diameter. With its great mix of materials and patinas, this would make a beautiful piece for the antique Meteorology/scientific instrument collector. Feel free to email me with any questions.
