Belgian Figural Basket Pin Cushion, 6 ¼ inches high, 1 ½ inch diameter medallion attached above pincushion which is velvet covered, marked “Liege, Le Perron”, probably late 1800’s, wear to velvet cover, wear and discoloration to plating of metal bands, minor bends in some of the bands, tiny break to band upper right and weld loose on upper right wire, an interesting souvenir sewing item made in the shape of a wicker country back pack, made of strips of gold plated metal that is woven over wires, the medallion has an embossed illustration of an historical column that symbolizes local freedom and autonomy, nice early sewing item.
