Carte Des Chemins De Fers L'Europe Centrale, no author. Published by Etablissement Geographique De Bruxelles, 1836, Bruxelles. 1st edition. Hardback. Very Good 70cm x 54cm folding map in 28 sections contained within brown cloth boards with gilt title to front cover. Undated. There is a central map 33cm x 26cm hand-coloured showing the railway network of Belgium with an inset map showing Central Europe including most of the UK. Surrounding the central map are 24 individual routes between cities and towns in Belgium shown in detail and with engraved views of interest, for example, Mons to Quievrain, Charleroy to Namur, Deynze to Gand. Light browning to some folds, 1 of which is repaired to verso. A few small tears to folds but no loss. Some loss to spine of cover. The date deduced from the British rail map which shows various lines uncompleted so pre1836. Drawn by I Mols and engraved by J Ongers.
