Although not marked Bell System or Western Electric. This was the stamp machine issued to the years ago Bell System technicians. For stamping phone numbers and extension numbers on the rotary and touch-tone dial cards. I know they were used in the 1970's and earlier. And this one being used little times. Because i acquired this stamper back in the mid 1980's from a just retired Bell System employee that said he had used it very little in all of his career. And i have never used it in all of my owning it. It was made by S.H. Moss Inc. from W. Germany. Other then the original box being a little storage worn. With a few trial stamps on the insides. The tool itself is in excellent condition. And like all the other tools or equipment that was made for the Bell System. It was made to last. It has an extra pad and a tube of ink.All the parts move smoothly. The ink pad can be removed for cleaning or replacement. It has 5 dials on it that moves 5 rolls of numbers. The other 2 rolls of numbers are moved manually with a plastic stick, that is also included. Thats the way it was made. A great piece of Bell System History that can be used on your dial cards to give them that authentic look. Thank! for looking.
