The prior owner of this enchanting white floor-length formal dress wore it to her high school prom in 1965 and subsequently to university galas. She remembers having it whittled down from a size 5 or 6 to its current dimensions (32" bust, 22" waist). If you wear a 4 or smaller, this should work for you beautifully. Beneath the soft floral lace are two underskirts, one of petticoat net and another of satin. There are spaghetti straps if you care to use them, but the bodice is boned for secure strapless wear. Please click through to additional shot showing the exquisitely detailed back, inset with a gore of shirred chiffon beneath a slender corded green bow. Hemline is dirty, so it needs dry cleaning. Apart from that and the missing label, I find no flaws. This dreamy dress has been cherished, carefully stored away for decades, so there isn't even yellowing. (Yellow areas in photos are tricks of the light.) ... BTW, if you choose this wonderful gown, please be sure to check out our selection of vintage and antique evening bags; several white ones would be perfect with it! NOTE: Even if you don't need a vintage ball gown, just these yards and yards of fine vintage lace are great value at this low price.
