are two nice mens timepieces of yesteryear...both look great...and both run well... Benrus is 25 Jewels and self winding - waterproof- Band is gold tone appears to be the original watch band....Upon restoration ..I personally wore both of these for a few days... they are running great... one more note ...the Benrus uses the old slider motion to wind the watch... so as you move it... sometimes you will the slider move from side to side...this is very normal...both movements run very smoothly it- The Gruen is a 17 jewel self winding with sub second hand--waterproof..Gruen Preccision on back.. ... I have many restored watches that I will be posting over the next few days...All my wrist watches are listed with low or no reserved prices... is what I do before I list any of these fine timepieces.... RESTORED WRISTWATCHES Every Watch receives ourâe¦âe¦.. 10 point restoration process 1. Hand inspected 2. Buff the crystal to remove scratches 3. Replace bracelet pins 4. Air Clean the Watch Movement 5. Install new battery (Electric models) 5a. Test mainspring - adjust balance wheel (Non Electric models) 6. Replace Watch Band/Bracelet if needed 7. Hand polish entire Watch and Bracelet 8. Set date and time 9. Test run a minimum of 48 hours 10. Hand pack individually for shipping
