Benteen, 7 th Cavalry, Custer's nemesis in the regiment and one of the most famous figures from Custer's 7 th Cavalry and the Indian Wars. This Benteen autograph display is of the highest quality and was purchased from one of the leading Civil War/Indian Wars autograph experts-dealers in the United States . Benteen signs as "Captain, 7 th Cavalry," and the autograph, clipped from a larger document, is protected by an archival mylar pocket and then matted with the finest materials, the display finished with a phot of Benteen and a brass plaque. If the matt was not required, the autograph could very easily be removed - it is not affixed, only the mylar protector is. Matted size is 17 inches x 15 inches. Benteen was the recipient of Custer's last orders at the Little Bighorn, which are probably the most famous orders in the history of The West. Custer's orders, written by Adjutant W.W.
