Berdan's Sharpshooter ButtonsListed here are three Goodyear 1851 Rubber Buttons dug in one of Berdan's Sharpshooter camps in Stafford, Virginia by Michael Rasmussen. The buttons are very nice and photos indicate size when compared to the Lincoln Penny.The larger button is marked on the back with I.R.C. Co. Goodyear 1851. The two smaller buttons are marked on the back NR Co. Goodyears P=T and have loops.These buttons will make a nice addition to your Civil War collection and are associated with the Famous Berdan's Sharpshooters. The digger's name and location of the recovery make these relics extra special. I purchased these items from Michael Rasmussen November 29, 2019. I will include a hand signed letter by me stating the provenance.
