54/6405-10 BERNARD BOUTET DE MONVEL (1884-1949) PORTRAIT OF BOBBY JONES. Oil on canvas, streched but unframed, signed LR 28` x 31` $3,000/$5,000 Condition: Stretched but not framed. Has not been cleaned or relined. Overall light wear and very light chipping to pigment. Overall heavy craquelure, especially to the sky (on either side of the figure), resulting in what could lead to heavy flaking. Sustains extensive inpainting, mostly in the form of 0.2` dots that are scattered all around the painting and cover the background and the figure. Most notable areas covered by clusters of inpainting are the seat back rails, the left knee of the figure, the bottom center area along the edge and the chimney of the building on the left. No labels en verso. It is not known whether the piece has been exhibited anywhere or used in any publication.
